It's been a wild time for reading lately, some people have found themselves reading a lot and others, like me, have experienced reading slumps. I have managed to read quite a few books thanks to Audible and reading manga and art books sent to me from NetGalley! So here are some of the books that I've been reading during lockdown:

It's been a wild time for reading lately, some people have found themselves reading a lot and others, like me, have experienced reading slumps. I have managed to read quite a few books thanks to Audible and reading manga and art books sent to me from NetGalley! So here are some of the books that I've been reading during lockdown:
Throne of Glass & Crown of Midnight by Sarah J. Maas
The Throne of Glass series is one that I have been aiming to read for years but I never quite got far in the first book. I decided to try the audiobook during lockdown and although I wasn't massively enjoying it at the beginning, by the end I was hooked and I jumped straight into the sequel, Crown of Midnight.
This series follows an assassin called Celaena who was caught and put in a prison camp but she is offered the opportunity to leave if she will fight for the prince of the kingdom she abhors. The first two books have featured action, mystery, reveals and romance and I've heard the next book, Heir of Fire, is even better. I will be listening to the audiobook of it soon! If you would like to listen to more audiobooks, you can get a free trial of Audible here. They also run regular deals on cheaper membership and offers like 2 for 1 on audiobooks which I have used and loved, so if you're already a member I would really recommend checking Audible out too.
Assassin's Apprentice by Robin Hobb
Assassin's Apprentice is the first book in The Farseer Trilogy, an epic fantasy series. This book features a boy who can communicate with animals and is trained to be an assassin. I reviewed this book in full here if you want to find out more and see all of my thoughts. I also listened to this book on Audible.
The Promised Neverland Volume 1
The Promised Neverland was nothing like I expected. This is a manga that I was sent on NetGalley. It is quite creepy and follows a group of children who live in an orphanage seemingly happy and peaceful until one night two of the children discover that monsters are out there. I won't spoil too much because I felt like I was surprised quite a few times reading this. I found this manga quite interesting and I want to see what happens next.
Art books!
I then read a bunch of art books from NetGalley. My three favourites are Mini Chibi Art Class, Colourful Fun Embroidery and Your Year in Art: Watercolor.
The Blogger's Survival Guide
I also read The Blogger's Survival Guide which is a comprehensive guide on everything that you need to know about blogging. I found this guide really useful and I wrote a full review on it here.
