Treasures and Trinkets: A Dragon's Brood Tale (The Dragon's Brood Cycle)

Before she was a prisoner in Marianne's crystal mines or just another face among the multitudes in the city of Seven Skies, Maddy had a different name and everything she could want—governesses, gowns, and gold to fill her pockets. And though she wasn't the son her father had wanted, it was inevitable that one day she would inherit his title.

But Maddy's predictable world is turned upside down when an extraordinary servant girl challenges everything she's ever known; there's a wider world beyond the comfortable confines of her castle, full of wonder and magic, and Maddy finds that the one thing she doesn't have is the only thing she really needs.

Lea is a friendless 26-year-old. She is dealing with untreated depression and anxiety. She decides to end it all by standing on the country road dressed in black. Darren is her 24-year-old neighbor. He has admired her from afar for years. Darren hits her and immediately rushes her to the local hospital, where she works. She slowly recovers and finds Darren by her side every day. Darren takes Lea home to continue her recovery, determined to marry her. But Blake returns.

Blake is Darren's older brother, and Blake has been overseas enjoying the combat. But now, Blake is determined to steal the girl. When Darren is out, Blake pretends to be Darren and has sex with Lea. Three days later, when her period is a day late, Lea takes a pregnancy test. She realizes there is no way it could be Blake's. But Blake finds the test and blackmails her by saying he will kill himself and take her with him.

Darren believes the pair and leaves feeling that Lea needs time with Blake to decide if she wants to marry him or the father of her child. Eight weeks later, Darren returns to find a terrified and tormented Lea. He extricates her from the house after Blake gets drunk and accidentally tells Darren the child might be his. Are they in time for a happy ending?

Ground Zero

The world is under invasion from the skycendelvins. The interdimensional beings are building gates, assimilating individuals, and preparing for a takeover. No one realizes this except specific individuals in the government.

The agency hasn't informed Ana of the planned invasion. She is a homeland security agent sent to Mr. And Mrs. Leonard Turner's house to investigate Mrs. Turner. Julianne Turner is a national security threat. Leo falls in love with Ana. His wife hasn't allowed him to touch her for two years and indecently visits other individuals. Leo Turner initiates a divorce and tells Ana he wants to be friends and eventually marry her.

Ana has a dream and later sees a vision of San Francisco exploding. She tells Leo she is an agent sent to watch Mrs turner. The next day they explore Mrs. Turner's quarters only to discover many strange objects and several dates marked in a calendar for September 20th "financial breakdown" and 28th "skyfel."

Two weeks later, Ana and Leo go to Williams to purchase Ana's childhood home. They come home to the letter stating Mrs. Turner is not human. It advises her to disengage immediately. Leo and Ana leave.

They visit the field office the next day, and Mr. Abbott discloses information about the skycendelvins and the plan to destroy the gates to save humanity from the takeover. The self-destruct mechanism is more potent than any bomb humanity has developed. Soon Leo and Ana are in a race against time to escape ground zero before the bomb flattens the San Francisco Bay Area.

The Truth About Change and Awakening: A Memoir

With wisdom and humor, Rachael DK invites us into her world as a writer and survivor, examining the truths and fictions we tell ourselves and others as we teeter on the tightrope between meaning and mortality, guilt and redemption, fear and courage, hope and change. The emotional and physical pains she journaled throughout her life are ultimately revealed to the reader. Her memoir offers a deeply personal yet universal tour of our hearts and minds and providing the rarest of gifts: a boldly revealing portrait of what it means to be human. So many of the author's struggles as a two time suicide attempt survivor, breast cancer survivor, chronic illness sufferer—though rare when combined, are a reflection that helps readers see things in a new light, and rediscover simple pleasures and everyday joy. It is the story of how any of us can begin to trust ourselves enough to set boundaries, make peace with our bodies, honor our heartbreak, and unleash our truest dreams so that we finally look at ourselves and say: There I am, the real me.

IJC Writing- Elixir of Feelings

Lisa is a single Drow woman with her own Alchemy shop. Life and business are already complicated enough, without her ex-crush Andre showing up. What’s Lisa to do?

“Let us find solace in the quiet…”

Emmeline always dreamed of being an author, finding comfort in words and between the pages of her beloved romance novels, but a mental health diagnosis leaves her blocked and unable to write. Then she inherits a crumbling, second-hand bookshop from a mysterious old friend and Emmy discovers that magic is real. Maybe her fantasies about the heroes in her favourite historical romances aren’t so far-fetched after all?

Lord Jonathan Dalgliesh is the handsome stranger-wielding a sword as dangerous as his Tudor past-who appears in Emmy’s bookshop asking for help. Together they must race against time itself to lift the curse imprisoning him inside an ancient. book. But when growing threats to Emmy’s safety are proved real and not another symptom of her illness, she must learn to trust her own voice again. Can she find the words to save Jonathan and her shop before tragedy strikes on the fateful final page?

Romance-addict Emmy may be, but this damsel is about to kick distress into the Ever After.

Another Day in Paradise (Tails from Paradise)

A warm-hearted, autobiographical story told by an author who really knows her subject, the location and the lifestyle in a small village in the Algarve, as seen through the eyes of a British couple, who made the move seeking a quieter, more serene way of life. What lurks in the shadows of paradise, however, is a life-changing illness she has struggled with in the past and now comes to the fore. They have made Portugal their home.

Will they be able to navigate the health system and succeed in getting her the urgent operation needed, to prevent her from spending the rest of her life in a wheelchair? This adds tension to an otherwise gentle, amusing, highly descriptive story, filled with wonderful observations, funny clashes of culture and an entertaining learning curve for all concerned. The dialogue is so authentic, you can hear their voices. The characters appear real and 3-dimensional and the supporting cast of cats and dogs at times threaten to steal the show. This is a fulfilling and satisfying read, uplifting, positive and makes you long for a sequel.

The one who summoned them is an old Elven wizard named Maleth, who will send them on a quest to lower their floating city of Arigale to where it once resided. Maleth is intrigued by Judith's strange form of necromantic magic, yet he is also certain of the anxious young man training to be a spearman and scholar.

Judith, a bubbly yet mysterious young woman, is eager to accept. Chit remains withdrawn and cautious, a remnant of being raised by the Order that presides over their land. Soon, both discover their meeting with the wizard carried dire consequences.
